1. Who is responsible

The person responsible for processing your data (the "data controller") is:

2. What data we collect and why

Newsletter. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and (optionally) your name. We use this only to send you the Cozy Island newsletter. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR/RODO), confirmed via a double opt-in email.

Contact form. When you write to us, we collect your email address, name, and message in order to read and answer your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f)).

Technical access data. When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data (such as your IP address, browser type, and time of access) to deliver the website securely. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a safe, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f)).

3. Service providers (processors)

We use the following providers, who process data on our behalf:

• MailerLite (newsletter delivery and signup form) — UAB MailerLite, with infrastructure in the EU and the USA.
• Netlify (website hosting and contact form handling) — Netlify, Inc., USA.
• Bunny Fonts (privacy-friendly web font delivery, EU-based) — used so that fonts load without profiling you.
• MailerLite image CDN — illustrations on this site are served via MailerLite's content delivery network.

4. International data transfers

Some providers (MailerLite, Netlify) may process data on servers in the USA. Such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, in particular the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as provided in each provider's data processing terms.

5. How long we keep your data

• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.
• Contact messages: for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, then deleted.
• Technical logs: kept only for a short period by the hosting provider for security purposes.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR/RODO you have the right to: access your data; have it corrected or deleted; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out). To exercise any of these, email hello@cozyisland.art.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl.

7. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or analytics tracking and sets no marketing cookies. Our providers may set strictly necessary technical cookies required to operate forms and deliver the site securely.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the website or our data practices change. The current version always applies, with the date shown above.
